Worship: What's it all about ?

The worship of our parish is centred on the Eucharist. The main Sunday service at both Holy Trinity and St Wilfrid’s is Sung Eucharist and there are midweek Eucharists at Holy Trinity on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays and a midweek Eucharist at St Wilfrid’s on Wednesdays.

The parish offers a variety of Sunday evening worship at both churches, including Evensong and a monthly Taize service at Holy Trinity.  In fact, Holy Trinity has been a centre of Taize worship for some 20 years thanks to a connection with former parishioners David and Betty Thorpe, whose son Andrew is a member of the Taize Community. A small choir leads worship at the Taize services and Taize music is used in other services.

The parish celebrate all the major festivals of the church, including full Holy Week and Easter ceremonies along with an Easter morning dawn service on Bingley Moor.

We hold carol and other special services at Advent, Christmas, Epiphany and Easter led by the Trinity Singers, a choir made up of guests and members of our two churches. The Trinity Singers also lead the singing on other special occasions.

We extend a warm welcome to newcomers who may be curious about the Christian faith.
